[BloomingdaleActionList] Reminder about DC Water and update on DDOT

All-

Just a reminder that Wednesday night,  DC Water will be hosting their open house on the First Street Tunnel project. Hope everyone has been reading up on this. 

The DDOT green project, which is flooding mitigation related but a totally different project, should start by Thursday. I just spoke to Nspiregreen and she said they will begin work on the T Street catch basins. They still do not have a concrete schedule for the different aspects of the the project, but will flyer the neighborhood when they do.

She also said that a substantial part of the project should be completed by Labor Day. They still have not determined what impact this will have on parking on Rhode Island Avenue.

In support of the First Street Tunnel portion of its Clean Rivers Project, DC Water has released an Environmental Assessment that is now available online at www.dcwater.com/FirstStreetTunnelEA.

 

In addition to the above link, hard copies of the Environmental Assessment are also located at the following public libraries:

·         Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street, NW

·         Mt. Pleasant Library, 3160 16th Street, NW

·         Northwest One Library, 155 L Street, NW

·         Petworth Library, 4200 Kansas Avenue, NW

·         Watha T. Daniel-Shaw Library, 1630 7th Street, NW

 

A public meeting will also be held during which all interested may attend and provide comments on the Environmental Assessment. Meeting details are as follows:
