The open s-l-o-w Bluegrass jam will take place as scheduled this Saturday, April 20, at 2:00 running until 4:30. Venue is the Contemporary Music Center (downstairs), 4410 Costello Way (by Foster's Grille) in Haymarket, VA, two blocks from Sheetz. (I-66 and Rt. 15)
-- This is a chance to learn Bluegrass tunes, play chords, play backup, pick a slow lead - - - whatever your level is. Non-threatening situation. Coaches from the Bull Run Bluegrass Music Association on hand to help you. Messing up is expected.
All bluegrass instruments invited.
If you are a beginner on your instrument, if you are an advanced beginner or at a slightly higher level than that, come out and practice your chops, meet other pickers, steal ideas, have a good time.
If you arrive and find that the coaches are having a faster jam, DO NOT RUN AWAY! They are just killing time until we get off the ground.
Admission is free.
If you want a listing of tunes (with lead sheets words and chords) that will probably be played, email Bruce Gair at wbgair@gmail.com. He will email them to you. For more information: Bruce Gair at 703-407-2327.
Hope to see you there!
