[YEP-DC] Volunteer with YEP-DC on Sat, April 27th – Register today!

YEP-DC is taking part of Servathon! Our volunteers will be working at Walker Jones Education Campus. We will be creating two new gardens, both of which will require removing turf, tilling (by hand with gardening forks), composting, and raking. The garden will be planted with soy, sweet potatoes, and peanuts. The second garden will be planted with corn, runner beans, and heirloom pumpkins. Volunteers will also be prepping ground for blueberries, transplanting two fig trees, and building a couple of rabbit hutches.

Volunteering with YEP-DC is a great way to connect with other members of YEP-DC in a low-key setting, while making a difference to hundreds of DCPS students.  See below for the details and feel free to share with others.  We look forward to seeing you there!

2.       Click register for servathon on the left hand side and hit agree to the waiver

3.       Click on Join a team and scroll down to the YEP-DC team

4.       Create a profile (Note: There is a $25 fee that helps cover the cost of supplies and HandsOn Greater DC programming)

5.       When it's all done, please shoot an email to Yair at yairinspektor@gmail.com so YEP-DC also knows you are attending
