[dcab-l] know anyone who wants to be a better jammin musician?

Well, if you, or someone you know, would like to get better skills playing their instrument or plays ok at home with the cat, but then things get all weird and things don't work out as well when they try to play the tunes with other humans, I think I may have just the thing for you!

This summer at the Lucketts Community Center in Lucketts,VA, there will be a one week bluegrass daycamp. Hours approx 10 AM - 2 PM Monday through Friday. There will be two sessions offered. One is  June 24th-June 28th. The other is July 8 to July 12.

Folks will get lots of practice playing with other people in different combinations and can work on working in a band and ensemble settings as well as working on their bluegrass instruments of choice. Price is about $300 per week-long session.
The teachers are great. Fun loving and knowledgeable with zillions of hours of teaching and performing music in a wide variety of settings. Those esteemed teachers are Randy Barrett, Alexander Mitchell, and Tara Linhardt. A few other special guests may show up during the week as well. Let us know soon if you might be interested and/or if you have any questions.
Folks can contact me (Tara), Paul Garvin, or Hilary at the Lucketts Community Center (703-771-5281 Hilary.Cooley@Loudoun.gov) if they are interested. Be sure to include what instrument, approximate level and hopes for the class, age- basically adult or if a kid, then what age), which week or weeks you may be interested in, and email and phone contacts. We'll have anyone jammin in no time and lovin it!
