FURTHER INFO:

For adults there are planned sessions on vegetable gardening, using schoolyard habitats, developing natural play spaces, using technology when teaching outdoors and gaining key tips on interpretation of the natural world. Meet and learn from regional experts in these topics.
Students will have an information packed day with robotics, renewable energy techniques, oil spill cleanups, electrical circuits, environmental ethics role plays, high school/GMU student networking and more. Plus students will have an amazing opportunity to see how they are part of a larger movement as they see what other students are doing in their respective schools.
Here is how you can be a part of the Showcase:
SCHOOLS:  Schools are invited to bring 5-6 students to share what the school and students are doing for the environment. Half a table will be provided for display materials (tri-fold displays recommended). The Showcase is a great opportunity to share what is going on with "Green Teams," environmental clubs, schoolyard habitats, etc. Register by April 12 at  http://www.novaoutside.org  (it's free!) or contact Elaine Tholen (elaine@smartoutside.com) or Kurt Moser (kmoser@earthforce.org) with questions.
EXPO EXHIBITORS: Share what your organization or business can do to support schools in their greening efforts by exhibiting at the Showcase. Exhibitors are provided a six-foot table and chairs in the Expo Hall for displays/materials relating to the environment. Electricity is very limited, and only available by request.  Fee information and registration at  http://www.novaoutside.org.  Please register by April 12.
VOLUNTEERS:  The Showcase needs volunteers on the day of the event, in various capacities. Please contact  info@novaoutside.org  if you would be interested in helping out!
JUST SHOW UP AND/OR JOIN NoVA Outside:  This event is free and open to the public.  Come on by and see what great things are happening!!  If you are excited to see events like this in your community and support the growth of environmental education for all ages in Northern Virginia, please join NoVA Outside so that we can keep up this work.
