Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church Nursery School (BHPCNS) is seeking a talented individual for the position of Nursery School Director. The ideal candidate will be able to foster our "Learning Through Play" philosophy by sparking imagination, building self-esteem within children and teachers and help students discover new things each day. The director will also manage and assist with the delivery of the instructional program and overall operation of the school including: marketing plan implementation, student enrollment, parent and community relations, staff supervision and development, profit and loss management, and facility management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

·         Be responsible for ensuring an appropriate, caring, and safe environment for children and parents.

·         Follow our "Learning Through Play" philosophy, spark imagination, build self-esteem within teachers and children, and help students discover new things each day.

·         Promote the positive image of the school with staff, parents, and the community.

·         Help maintain and grow the school's reputation and enrollment within the community.

·         Plan, direct, and coordinate the academic and nonacademic activities of the Nursery School.

·         Ensure that the school is operating in accordance with school policies and state licensing standards.  

·         Assist in the creation and updating of school policies.

·         Maintain fiscal sustainability.

·         Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.

·         Assess teachers periodically (at least once a year) with a formal review.

·         Collaborate with Nursery School Board on curriculum improvements and teacher training.

·         Monitor curriculum implementation.

·         Prepare and approve staff scheduling.

·         Prepare communications to parents including monthly newsletter, email and oversees the school website.

·         Work with teachers and communicate with parents regarding educational and behavioral issues, as needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 

·         A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience.

 

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS: 

·         5+ years of teaching and/or administration experience in a pre-school or equivalent setting.

·         Excellent organizational skills.

·         Excellent interpersonal skills to work with staff, parents, community and church.

·         Must have strong writing skills. 

·         Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
