KIPP, the Knowledge Is Power Program, is a national network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public charter schools with a track record of preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and in life. There are currently 125 KIPP schools in 20 states and the District of Columbia serving more than 41,000 students. The KIPP Foundation is responsible for providing robust professional development for school leaders in our network, defining and evaluating school and regional performance, assessing the readiness of KIPP regions to expand, and facilitating the exchange of data and effective practices across the KIPP network.

College Connections Manager

The College Connections Manager's primary responsibility will be to develop and execute KIPP's approach to building alumni leadership through College Connections to ensure that our alumni are climbing the mountain not only to college, but through college. More specifically, the College Connections Manager will be responsible for: (1) Developing an effective, meaningful College Connections approach; (2) Growing and improving the more intensive version of KIPP's College Connections approach, known as "College Ambassadors"; and (3) Identifying and building alumni leadership opportunities into other KIPP Foundation and regional KIPP initiatives.

The College Connections Manager will be an integral team member of the KIPP Through College team reporting to ­­­­­­­­­­the Director, College Partnerships. This is a full-time, exempt position with a flexible location, though preference will be given to candidates in San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. 


College Partnerships Manager

The College Partnership Manager's primary responsibility will be to work in close collaboration with the Director of College Partnership to execute KIPP's approach to partnering with colleges to ensure that our alumni are climbing the mountain not only to college, but through college. More specifically, the College Partnership Manager will be responsible for: (1) Effectively managing a large and diverse portfolio of higher education partnerships; (2) Developing, implementing, codifying and sharing tools and strategies to support effective college partnership management at the KIPP Foundation and in KIPP Regions; (3) Supporting KIPP regional staff in establishing a set of regional partnerships; (4) Providing support to the College Partnership Director in refining our strategic approach to managing college/university partnerships;

KIPP School Leadership Programs (KSLP) Operations and Data Analyst

KSLP's Operations Team is responsible for the event, logistical and program evaluation support that are critical to running successful programs. We are seeking a new team member, the KSLP Operations and Data Analyst, who is eager to support a fast-paced team of leaders and is committed to KIPP's mission and values.

 

The candidate should enjoy planning and managing events and be eager to work with multiple high level stakeholders. A successful candidate will have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communications skills and be committed to a high level of excellence in program event planning and execution.  The KSLP Operations and Data Analyst will report to the Senior Director of Program Strategy and Operations. They will work very closely with two other Operations and Data Analysts and also with all members of the KIPP School Leadership Program team.

 

This is a full-time position. Candidates must be comfortable with travel, including 7-8 consecutive weeks in the summer and some weekends. The individual hired would ideally be based in the KIPP Foundation's Chicago office or San Francisco office.


Network Growth and Sustainability Regional Director

The Regional Director will support KIPP sites in developing their growth plans, building organizational capacity, evaluating school and regional performance and related underlying processes and systems, and driving improvements in quality and sustainability. In addition to key network-facing responsibilities, this position will play a role in leading or coordinating one or more strategic initiatives to inform critical opportunities for the Team or Network.

 

The Regional Director role is highly nuanced.  The person who assumes this position must derive satisfaction by getting outcomes through influencing others rather than being the person leading the work directly or through positional authority.  As such, this person must be able to drive these results, while being comfortable with a long time horizon to realize them.  The ideal person will have had experience growing complex organizations and bring a specific systems level skill set in finance, operations, or academics.

 

The successful incumbent will work closely with regional Executive Directors, their board and senior leadership team, school leaders, and colleagues on the KIPP Foundation staff.  This is a full-time, exempt position which will report to the Chief Program Officer and the preferred location for this position is New York, Washington, D.C. or Chicago. 


Dissemination and Leadership Development Project Manager

The KIPP Foundation Learning Team designs and executes KSLP programs. The role of Dissemination and Leadership Development Manager is a new position on the Learning Team developed to identify what is working in leadership development across KIPP then communicate these effective practices, first within our network to support our schools and regions in partnership with KSLP and local leadership development efforts, and also beyond our network, where we seek to share knowledge, communicating what we know and learning from others.


To do this, the manager will learn what needs exist and what questions are on the horizon for our schools and regions on the topic of leadership development, working in collaboration with the Learning Team and others; prioritize those needs and questions; identify solutions and tools both within and beyond our network; and communicate those solutions and tools in a way our schools and external stakeholders can digest and implement successfully.

 

While the role is new, the manager will build on the success of the Learning Team, which has established relationships with schools and regions, deep knowledge of leadership development, and its own tools and practices for leadership development. The manager will also collaborate with other KIPP Foundation teams, such as Network Services (NST), Research, Design and Innovation (RD&I), and external leaders in the fields of management and leadership, to gain insight into where there might be effective practices that should be codified and to share knowledge across the network.


Chief of Teaching and Learning Labs

KIPP Foundation Teaching and Learning Labs is tasked with developing and driving adoption of a portfolio of resources, materials and services that will support educators at KIPP schools nationwide in helping our students achieve their academic growth objectives and prepare for college and life success.  The Chief of Teaching and Learning Labs will be responsible to develop the overall Teaching and Learning Labs product strategy, in partnership with KIPP Foundation and KIPP network leadership and stakeholders.  Will also lead the design and development of high value curriculum, assessment and PD tools and materials through original content production, curation of teacher-generated work, and the integration of third-party open-source or commercial content.  Partner with KIPP Foundation Research and Evaluation team to implement assessment strategy.  Ensure that the product and services portfolio is aligned with the KIPP network's college preparatory objectives and supports KIPP schools in successfully implementing the Common Core State Standards

This position will require approximately 50% travel.
