[YEP-DC] Host a Chavez Student Intern This June

Dear Friends of Chavez Schools: 

I am writing to invite you to participate in a unique partnership opportunity with the Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools for Public Policy: our Chavez Fellowship Program. 

Chavez Fellowship is a program in which our 11th grade students intern full-time (unpaid) at public-interest organizations for a total of three weeks.  It is an incredibly valuable experience for our students to work in professional settings with organizations that affect change in the community.  In order to create this experience, we need the support of professionals in the public sector (government agencies and offices, nonprofits, community outreach divisions, etc) to host our students as interns.  This year we need to find over 200 hosts for our students.  

We hope you will host one of our student interns June 3^rd – June 20^th.

If you have already signed up to host a fellow this spring, thank you so much for your support.   

If you haven't yet pledged to host this year, please complete a quick form on our website by Friday April 5th.  Additional information is attached. If you have any questions, please email us at fellowship@chavezschools.org.
