[dcab-l] Foghorn Stringband at Hill Center April 1st with Free Whisky Tasting Before Hand

Foghorn Stringband performs Monday, April 1st, 7:30pm. Hill Center, 921 Pennsylvania Ave. SE. $18 Click here for tickets

For any old time lovers in the DC area, take the metro to one of the newest and nicest spaces to hear music, Hill Center, right on the Orange and Blue Line.   There will also be a free whisky tasting beforehand, why wouldn't you come?

Foghorn Stringband is the shining gold standard for American stringband music, with two entirely new generations of old-time musicians following their lead.

April Fool's Day at Hill Center is the last stop on their annual East Coast Spring Break Tour. We aren't fooling when we say Foghorn will wake up your senses and transport you back in time as they share their amazing repertoire of old time, old country and cajun tunes.

"Oldtime acoustic Americana music is exploding these days, and Foghorn is leading the charge without even trying to put their mark on it. You hear Foghorn, and you know it's Foghorn. Face it, people. There's Foghorn–and there's everyone else.  – Stuart Mason, Fiddlefreak
