[YEP-DC] Two new jobs at Share My Lesson

Share My Lesson provides over 250,000 lesson plans and classroom resources online, while hosting a broad professional learning community for interaction and support. With the advent of the Common Core State Standards, teachers need more support than ever to assist them in being as effective as possible.  Share My Lesson is a joint venture of the American Federation of Teachers, a 1.7M member association of professional educators, and TSL Education, a British digital publishing company, creator of TES Connect, a global education resources sharing site boasting over 2.5MM subscribers.  As a start-up, the organization is financially backed by the two founding organizations and relies heavily on in-kind contributions of employees from each.

We have two big goals for 2013:

1. Get a million teachers subscribed to the site.
2. To become the #1 online site for US teachers seeks resources in support of the Common Core.

Digital Marketing Manager  Job Description

Share My Lesson requires a digital marketing manager with experience in the rapid development of an online audience.  The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of documented experience in growing an online community through promotional competitions, as well as experience in planning and implementing digital advertising campaigns.  SEO experience is highly desirable, with background in developing content-oriented sites needing to build a subscriber base.

Partnerships Manager  Job Description

As a massive content and professional learning site for educators, Share My Lesson has the opportunity to engage strategic partners for both subscriber and content growth.  Through mutually beneficial strategies, Share My Lesson wants to collaborate with educational associations to provide resources, services, and engagement opportunities that support teachers. One such partnership in place is with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
