Encourage a dream! Mentor a young mother in the D.C. metropolitan area!

 

D.R.E.A.M. Life is seeking women, over the age of 24, who live in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to become Mentors for young mothers from May 2013 - May 2014.

 

Mentors meet with their Dream Moms once per month, as well as, attend monthly mentor roundtables for resources, personal and professional development and networking opportunities.

 

As statistics show, young, single mothers in the U.S. are susceptible to higher rates of poverty, joblessness, and potential to put their children at risk in a variety of ways. "Delivering Resources to Empower A Mother's Life (D.R.E.A.M. Life) Inc." is a 501(c) 3 non profit organization which seeks to change the trajectory of these young mothers, their children and their communities.

 

D.R.E.A.M. Life's yearlong mentorship program pairs young mothers with successful women who assist them in creating short-term and long-term goals for independence and success. Young mothers currently in our program range from age 16-22.
