[YEP-DC] Programs Admin Assistant Position - Scholarship Fund

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FOR APIASF PROGRAMS

Based in Washington, DC, the Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF) is the nation's largest non-profit organization that provides scholarships to deserving Asian and Pacific Islander Americans with financial need. The Administrative Assistant for APIASF Programs will primarily support the programs team at APIASF. This position is based in Washington, D.C.

Note: This is a temporary position with an expected commitment of 35 hours per week and an hourly pay rate of $10 per hour.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

-Support APIASF programs and alumni engagement staff on various tasks:

-Support APIASF Programs staff with data entry, organizing and tracking data, drafting correspondence and other documents, and additional administrative tasks

-Provide assistance with the maintenance of social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Tumblr blog)

-Coordinate and host conference calls, organize and track event-related items, prepare materials, etc. in connection with various APIASF programs

-Support APIASF Higher Education planning committee with data entry, scheduling meetings, conducting follow-up calls, organizing and tracking data, preparing briefing packets, supporting Scholar engagement planning, and other administrative tasks

-Provide assistance with content development for the APIASF academic and career information sheets

- Perform additional duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience 

o Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

o Experience in data entry and file management preferred

o Experience liaising with multiple stakeholders, inclusive of college students and working professionals

o Experience working in an office setting, with the ability to support multiple projects and meet deadlines

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

o Must be detail-oriented

o Ability to work independently and in team settings in a fast paced environment

o Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

o Technologically literate (e.g., strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, Doodle, etc.)

o Proficient with social media (e.g., blog, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
