[YEP-DC] Volunteer Opportunity: Quarter 2 Report Card Conferences at Cardozo EC

WHAT:

Volunteers are needed to serve as short-term mentors for middle and high school students. Students' term grades and coursework history will be provided, along with DC graduation requirements. Students and mentors will discuss whether students are on track to graduate, and then create action steps together. These conversations provide students an opportunity to proactively problem-solve with a caring adult without judgment.

WHEN: 

Tuesday, February 10-Thursday, February 12

Thursday, February 17-Thursday, February 19

During the selected volunteer date(s), mentors are asked to commit to at least one shift, listed below:

8:45AM-10:30AM

12:15PM-2:00PM

1:45PM-3:30PM

Arrangements can be made for those wishing to remain on site for multiple shifts per day!

WHERE: 

Cardozo Education Campus (Library, 2nd floor and/or CISNCAP office, 3rd floor)

Limited street parking is available, and the school is within walking distance of both the U Street and Columbia Heights Metro Stations (yellow/green lines).
