1)       POSITION TITLE: Professional School Counselor – International High Schools

ORGANIZATION: International High Schools

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB CODE: 97

CLASSIFICATION: PGCEA – Table C (12-mth)

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Professional School Counselor provides counseling services that are comprehensive

in scope, preventive in design and developmental in nature in the areas of academic  achievement, college and/or career readiness and personal/social development for all students.  The Professional School Counselor acts as a change agent and student advocate helping ensure access and equity for all students supporting the system's  overall mission.

 

2)       POSITION TITLE: School Social Worker - International High

ORGANIZATION: International High Schools

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB CODE: 53

CLASSIFICATION: PGCEA – Table C (12-mth)

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Principal, the Social Worker is school-based and serves in the

primary role of promoting the mission of Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS)

by serving as an advocate for all students, as the consultant to the principal, school staff,

parents/guardians and appropriate resource staff. The Social Worker acts as a change

agent and student advocate helping ensure access and equity for all students supporting

the system's overall mission.

 

 

3)      POSITION TITLE: School Secretary II

ORGANIZATION: Assigned School

REPORTS TO: School Principal

JOB CODE: 40

 

CLASSIFICATION: ACE/AFSCME Local 2250, Grade 15

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The School Secretary II performs responsible secretarial and clerical work in an

elementary, middle or high school. Employees in this class include the head secretary in

an elementary school and the most responsible secretarial position in a middle or high

school such as the head secretary in the main office or the secretary to the Principal.

Work may include assignments in support of other administrative program activities such

as data entry, guidance and library. Employees whose positions are assigned to this class

are expected to exercise considerable initiative and mature judgment. Supervision may be

exercised over subordinate clerical personnel. The work is performed under the general

supervision of a Principal or Vice Principal.
