Hot on the heels of their Instrumental Group of the Year win at the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Awards, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen learned that their latest release, Cold Spell, has been nominated for a Best Bluegrass Album Grammy. Cold Spell, the band's second project for Compass Records, entered Billboard's Bluegrass Chart at No. 3. This year's honors follow up on a string of successes: in 2013, the band earned 5 IBMA awards, with wins for Mike Munford (Banjo Player of the Year) and guitarist Chris Luquette (Momentum Award—Instrumentalist of the Year); in addition, the band continues it's domination of the Washington Area Music Association, earning a "three-peat" of Best Bluegrass Band award (2012, 2013, 2014).
