Hello Friends!

As most of you know, I was a TFA corps member, and I now work for the organization, which I love.  This year, school district demand for our teachers has skyrocketed, and we are looking for the best college students to fill those spots.  I need your help in finding these corps members.  Thousands of  classrooms in this country are without a teacher, and most of them are in our lowest performing schools.  There are so many challenges in education right now and finding great teachers is a concrete, tangible way that we can make some progress.

I don't send around too many asks so I am asking y'all to quickly do one of the following things:

1. Refer someone to the corps.  (A current college student, a professional, a veteran....anyone.  Use that link - and we will reach out to them directly.  It would be amazing if you could think of at least 5 people from your networks (Jason, if you have more than 5 that would be doubly amazing!)

OR

2  Rally your communities via email or org-wide bulletins.  I've included some handy sample language below:

Know someone who would be an amazing teacher?  Don't be shy, recommend them to teach.  http://bit.ly/1yWIII7 #ChooseMore#TeachForAmerica

Also, and as you all know, recruiting great teachers is deeply important to me, and to the future of education in this country.   I'd be personally so appreciative if you took five minutes in the next few days to do this.

Thank you!  And if I haven't heard from you in a while, I'd love to hear how you're doing.

Best,
Taryn
