[YEP-DC] New Recess Q&A: Behind the Curtain at ED

Even when the rest of the ed world is consumed in political debate, the U.S. Department of Education focuses on the day-to-day grind of policy implementation. Recess's Ashley Mitchel interviews Danielle Smith at the brand new Office of State Support in the Department of Education to learn more about what happens at ED. Danielle shares her views on the federal role in education, discusses Common Core backlash, and, in the spirit of awards season, hands out some superlatives to her ED colleagues. Read it all at Recess!
