[dcab-l] Re: RIP Bill Becraft

Thanks for the news, I had not heard this. Very sad news. When I was a kid running around Tri-State Bluegrass Assoc, Jamming all night . Bill Becraft would let me play his bass. He was also a great supporter of not only mine but of bluegrass in general. It always meant a lot to me after I had moved on to play on the road that when we came back to the area it was a thrill to see Bill and Martha there.Always had that big full smile!. I also remember Bill being in the Twigg Brothers band if memory serves. Sad news. Rest well ole friend!

I haven't seen it posted here, but I want to pass along the sad news that Bill Becraft died last month. I'm sure many of you remember Billy from his association with the Tri-State Bluegrass folks. He was a terrific bass player, an enthusiastic birdwatcher and nature-lover, and all around good guy. You could run into him after not seeing him for years, and it was as if you'd only seen each other the week before. Sincere condolences to his wife, Martha.
