About DC Prep

DC Prep is the highest-performing network of charter schools in the nation's capital for the third consecutive year. Founded in 2003, DC Prep has entered its second decade of bridging the educational divide in Washington by increasing the number of students from underserved communities with the academic preparation and personal character to succeed in competitive high schools and colleges.

DC Prep currently serves 1,300 students in preschool through 8th grade at four campuses in Wards 5 and 7, and will open a new elementary school in Ward 8 for the 2015-16 school year.
