[YEP-DC] YEP-DC Conference: Apply to be a facilitator TODAY!

The Facilitator and Opportunity Fair application deadlines have been extended for for YEP-DC's 3rd Annual Policy to Practice Conference, "The Future is Now: Investing in Our Students." The Conference will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 9:00AM-3:15PM at Cesar Chavez Middle and High School Parkside Campus (3701 Hayes St NE). 

We are looking for people to facilitate our three morning sessions, "Change on the Ground: Students and Schools," "Change in the Community: Students and Community Organizations," and "Big Picture Change: Students and Education Policy." If you are interested please fill out an application by Friday, January 16, 2015. 

Sessions should be interactive in nature, with discussion as a big piece of the session. Your application should be based on an education topic in which you have some expertise and can facilitate a robust discussion around the topic. The audience for these sessions is a mix of education professionals in policy, practice, research, and everything in-between. Key takeaways/objectives should be clear to attendees and drive the conversation. We're looking for a wide variety of sessions that will interest our members.

The conference will also feature an Opportunity Fair from 2:15-3:15PM. The Opportunity Fair connects organizations with passionate members of the local education community looking for paid positions, internships, or volunteer opportunities. Applications to participate can be found here and are due by Friday, January 16, 2015. Please note that there is a $50 table fee for accepted organizations.
