[YEP-DC] Education Coaches Wanted: Math, ESL, & SAT Prep

MVP Tutors is an education services company that provides academic coaching, tutoring, and test preparation for grades K-12. With  patience and a passion for learning, we believe that every student has the capability to be academically successful. Currently, we are hiring part-time education coaches for elementary, middle, and high school math, in addition to ESL and SAT prep.  

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction (evenings after 5:00PM and/or weekends).

• Create and implement fun and exciting methods to learn challenging concepts in chosen content area.

• Prepare materials for learning sessions including: textbooks, worksheets, manipulatives, learning apps and games.

• Maintain feedback journals and provide monthly progress reports to parents and teachers.

• Maintain open written and verbal communication with teachers and parents.

Qualifications:

• Teaching and/or tutoring experience.

• A passion for learning and the belief that all students can succeed with proper instruction.

• Patience combined with a commitment to student-learning.

• Excellent communication both written and oral.

• Reliable transportation

• Laptop or tablet and cell phone

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teacher certification in content area

Compensation: $20-$40 per hour
