Wow!  Thanks for passing this on.  Your words are true.  He was always the same.  He was my sponsor to sign me up to become an IBMA member many, many years ago.  If I remember correctly, he played bass with the Twigg Brothers.  Another great traditional Bluegrass group from the Tri State Area.

I haven't seen it posted here, but I want to pass along the sad news that Bill Becraft died last month. I'm sure many of you remember Billy from his association with the Tri-State Bluegrass folks. He was a terrific bass player, an enthusiastic birdwatcher and nature-lover, and all around good guy. You could run into him after not seeing him for years, and it was as if you'd only seen each other the week before. Sincere condolences to his wife, Martha.

 

One error: Bill died last week, on January 7, not last month.
