The Pre-K at Powell Bilingual Elementary School is looking for a long-term substitute for a Pre-Kindergarten teacher of three- and four-year-olds in a dual language classroom. The substitute position is open from March through the end of the 2014-2015 school year with the potential for full-time employment as a lead classroom teacher in the 2015-2016 school year (Spanish-speaking ability preferred but not required):

Pre-K at Powell is a child-centered, play-based pre-kindergarten program in DC Public Schools focused on supporting the development of the whole child with the support of families and the community. Every classroom uses the Tools of the Mind curriculum with a focus on child-initiated projects and inquiry. We are a tight-knit, collaborative staff and are currently working towards NAEYC accreditation.
