[YEP-DC] [Event]: Generation Hope's Sponsor Open House

Did you know that less than 2% of women who have a child by age 18 get a college degree by age 30? Want to help change that dismal statistic? Generation Hope is the only organization in the DC area (and one of very few nationally) with a mission completely focused on helping teen parents become college graduates. Generation Hope supports the teen parents in our program (Scholars) by matching them with caring individuals in the community (Sponsors) who provide both mentoring support and tuition assistance to help them graduate from college. We are in the process of recruiting our next class of Scholars, and we are looking for caring and committed individuals who will be their mentors. On January 29th at 6:30pm, Generation Hope is hosting a Sponsor Open House that will allow interested people to learn about the program, meet current Scholars and Sponsors, and ask questions of staff. The Sponsor Open House will be held at Discovery Communications in Silver Spring, MD, and registration is available here. We are also holding an open house in DC on March 19th and one in Northern Virginia on April 30th.
