[dcab-l] Cool Show at Birchmere on Friday

"Hangtown Dancehall" by Eric Brace and Karl Straub
is a lovely Goldrush era "opera" -- but it's really more
like a theme album of strong original tunes re-envisioning
the story of Sweet Betsy from Pike after the events in
the song.  There will be a strong cast of area musicians
(I will be playing mandolin and banjo; Rickie Simpkins
will be fiddling) as well as a few Nashville luminaries
(Kelly Willis as Betsy).  Birchmere at 7:30pm
