Bluegrass relevance? The song was composed by blues artist Skip James.
Pete Kuykehdall's publishing company, Wynwood Music, owned the
publishing rights to James' song catalog. In 1966 the British rock group
Cream release their first LP "Fresh Cream". On that LP was a Skip James
song "I'm So Glad". The royalties from that song was enough to provide
more seed money and funding for Pete to continue publication of Bluegass
Unlimited magazine.
