I am pleased to let you know that YEP-DC has partnered with National Education Initiative (NEI), an organization that seeks to increase the productivity and competitiveness of the US education system by convening partners in education, government and business in an environment that encourages each sector to innovate collaboratively.
NEI's marquee event, National Education Week, will take place on November 10 in Washington, DC culminating in a two-day Thought Leader Summit on November 12 and 13 at the National Press Club. The Thought Leader Summit convenes stakeholders in K-20 education and provides a forum to collaborate on finding solutions that improve the American education system. The Thought Leader Summit promises to:
• Encourage collaboration and networking for all attendees. No closed door sessions, no VIP only receptions. All attendees are part of a shared thought community.
• Inspire attendees with visionary panels and speakers including Jim Shelton, the Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education, and Katherine Bradley, President of CityBridge Foundation.
• Mark the start of an important conversation that will continue throughout the year. Attendees have access to the year round events hosted by NEI.
As a member of YEP-DC, you can access discounted tickets to the Thought Leader Summit the following ways:
