Operation Understanding DC (OUDC) is looking for a part-time Office Manager. OUDC is a 20-year old DC non-profit whose mission is to build a generation of African American and Jewish community leaders who promote respect, understanding and cooperation while working to eradicate racism, anti-Semitism and all forms of discrimination. Every year, OUDC recruits 24 high school students who spend a year together learning about each other's histories and their shared history in the Civil Rights Movement. It is a very successful and well-regarded program.
For the Office Manager position, we need someone with administrative, technical and communications skills, who also can do some simple bookkeeping. The Office Manager should be someone organized and resourceful, and capable of taking the initiative to perform the necessary tasks with minimal supervision. We will start the hire at 20 hours per week, and then determine how much more time each week is necessary.
