If you work with high school students, please invite them to join the Tour for Diversity in Medicine @ Georgetown!
On Sat September 28, 2013, the inaugural High School program will be hosted by Georgetown University School of Medicine, and is specifically targeting minority high school students from around the city who have an interest in the health professions. The goal is to promote not only future careers in medicine and dentistry, but also to emphasize the importance of Community and Public Health Issues. In addition to college preparation workshops, Tour for Diversity will be purposefully seeking to motivate the students to understand the larger concepts of helping, serving, and educating others. Tour for Diversity will also be teaching professionalism and networking skills that will be necessary throughout their academic and career development. Tour for Diversity is inviting local health care professionals and students to assist in this effort through structured interactions scattered throughout the day.
