KIPP DC is looking for a part-time Middle School Orchestra teacher. KIPP DC is committed to providing a quality music education that will complement our rigorous academic program. We seek to establish a music program where our students have the motivation to practice, the desire to work as a team, and the discipline for lifelong musicianship. We truly believe the skills gained through music education are transferable to our students' pursuit of achievement in academics and in life. We are committed to providing our music teachers with the resources needed to have a successful string program.
In our middle-school music program, the teacher is required to instruct students in group orchestral classes where students will be able to play the violin, viola, cello, or bass. We are looking for highly dedicated educators who will bring a "whatever it takes" attitude to helping children succeed.
