Hi all –
In late August, I sent an email about a YEP-DC group rate for Ed Trust's national conference in Baltimore on October 24-25. A few of you responded, but I wanted to make sure there weren't more people interested before we get the group registered! See more information below and let me know by Friday, September 20 if you're interested.
Look forward to seeing you in Baltimore!

The Education Trust's National Conference will be held in Baltimore on October 24-25. This year, we're preparing more opportunities to learn from outstanding educators and advocates. We're excited to have Doug Lemov, author of Teach Like a Champion, as one of our keynote speakers. And again, you'll be inspired by the Ed Trust's president, Kati Haycock. You'll get practical ideas from proven sources on implementing Common Core, raising high school achievement, building school culture, developing principals—and other timely topics. You'll have the opportunity to network and connect with other likeminded individuals and organizations that care about closing achievement gaps for all children. And you'll have the chance to meet educators from our Dispelling the Myth award-winning schools that are educating their students to extraordinarily high levels and making equity a priority.
73 percent of last year's attendees told us that conference provided them with practical strategies, 87 percent believed they left inspired to take new action, and 89 percent reported that they learned new information. Those numbers mean, we think, that this is a conference that delivers.
Because we recognize the group experience is so important to conference, we do offer a special rate for groups who register three or more individuals. We'd love to get a group of YEP-DCers together to attend. Please contact me directly (bmann@edtrust.org) if you'd like to be part of a YEP-DC group and I'll coordinate with my colleagues on a group rate.
