DC Prep teachers hold primary responsibility for the curriculum implementation and instructional planning and delivery critical to student success. Our students benefit from an extended-day program unapologetically focused on academic instruction while also emphasizing behavioral skills necessary for academic and life success.
-- Teachers in 1st-3rd grade specialize in specific content areas in order to provide students with targeted instruction in literacy, math, social studies and science. This departmentalized approach allows teachers to develop deep content expertise and students to benefit from dedicated instructional time in core subject areas aligned with Common Core standards. In addition to their primary content area, 1st-3rd grade teachers also develop lesson plans for and deliver literacy and intervention instruction as part of DC Prep's extended-day model. We are now accepting applications for an immediate 2nd Grade Social Studies/Science position.
Early childhood teachers hold primary responsibility for the curriculum implementation and instructional planning and delivery critical to student success. DC Prep's early childhood program provides 3- and 4-year-old students with a full-day program of rigorous academic instruction in a nurturing environment that promotes the foundational skills necessary for academic and life success. We are now accepting applications for immediate kindergarten and preschool positions.

In addition, faculty applicants should have at least two years of urban teaching experience and meet the requirements to be Highly Qualified under the federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) law.
