[YEP-DC] Job Opening: Part-Time Arts or Recreation Elective Teacher at Higher Achievement DC Metro

Higher Achievement, a nationally acclaimed nonprofit organization providing after-school academic assistance to students in low-income communities, seeks an after-school Elective Teacher to facilitate a structured arts or recreation elective class.

THE ORGANIZATION

On average, 95% of Higher Achievement scholars who complete the program advance to top academic high schools and 93% advance to college.

Founded in 1975, Higher Achievement- DC Metro currently serves approximately 500 scholars per year and, in partnership with local schools, operates six achievement centers in Washington, DC and Alexandria, VA.  Higher Achievement is funded by support from foundations, businesses, government, and individuals. The organization has been honored with numerous national and local awards.
