[dcab-l] Tuesday September 24: Bluegrass Open Mike

Get ready for the third of the new Bluegrass Open Mikes, to take place Tuesday September 24 from 8:00-11:00 PM at the American Legion Post 268 and featuring the traditional, authentic sounds of Durham Station.  The American Legion Post 268 is at 11225 Fern Street, Wheaton, MD, easily accessible by car and just two blocks from the Wheaton Metro.

The Bluegrass Open Mikes will feature something for everyone:

*  an open mike for those who'd like to strut their stuff on stage with a PA;
*  a concert series featuring the Capital Region's many talented local bands;
*  a separate room for jamming.

Many of the top DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia bands have already been booked to headline at the Bluegrass Open Mikes, including Durham Station, Bluegrass Camp, Gravel Road, King Street Bluegrass, Rattlesnake Hill, Mountain Ride, Taste of Bluegrass Band, Flower Hill String Band, Magpie String Band, Lonesome Pine, and Newgrass Effect.  Applications for next year are now being accepted.

The Bluegrass Open Mikes promise to be a big success.  Don't miss out on the bandwagon.  Come on down to the American Legion Post 268 and find out what all the excitement is about!
