Would you love to have an amazing leadership opportunity at KIPP DC: Grow Academy?
KIPP DC: Grow Academy's Saturday School is an amazing leadership opportunity for local professionals interested in education and community outreach
Saturday School is a monthly program during which our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students learn new subjects and develop new skills.
The only way to accomplish this goal is the recruitment of amazing people, like YOU, as teachers
So, what does this gratifying community outreach experience entail?
Here are the basic details:
Saturday School consists of teaching one Saturday a month and chaperoning the End-of-Year Saturday School field trip.
The dates are:
January 26
February 23
March 16
April 27
May 18
In addition to those dates, you are required to attend a 2-hour training session on January 14, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.
Each Saturday, you will teach two 55-minute classes to 20-25 students and their parents. Ideas for classes include (but are not limited to): cooking, sports, dance, arts and crafts, sculpture, language, and yoga!
For all your hard work and dedication to our students and the community, you will receive a small stipend and be invited to the end-of-year Saturday School brunch!
To express your interest in the opportunity, e-mail Amy Monahan, amy.monahan@kippdc.org or Meagan Kudchadkar, meagan.kudchadkar@kippdc.org. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
We look forward to working with you!
