The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is a valuable member of the Human Resources Department that serves our children by effectively performing a variety of HR related functions including staffing, off-boarding, benefits, budgeting, compensation, and other related administrative tasks. The Generalist possesses a strong knowledge of a range of HR areas that is only enhanced by their commitment, attention to detail, and quality customer service. |
Responsibilities: |

Assist with the recruiting, budgeting and credentialing of new personnel as needed -
Manage and perform tasks related to the hire and onboarding of new personnel including vetting, obtaining and processing required documents (i.e. personnel action forms, applications, I-9 forms, background checks, etc…) -
Maintain regular communication with schools, HR Department, management and other appropriate parties to ensure information is shared with its respective stakeholders in a timely manner -
Facilitate and perform tasks related to employee separations and ensure processes are in compliance with HR policy and procedures (i.e.: exit interviews, processing paperwork, final checks, etc) -
Utilize the appropriate HR databases to ensure the input, maintenance, and reporting accurate information -
Collect, process, track and communicate paperwork and other important information with the appropriate parties such as employment statuses, benefits, and salary changes -
Organize and host HR related events such as new hire orientations and benefit enrollment fairs -
Administer employee benefits related responsibilities including but not limited to, responding to inquiries, maintaining accurate records, monitoring claims and leave, and implementing new programs -
Create and maintain accurate personnel files in compliance with auditing standards - Actively contribute to the HR Department to support evolution and development of policies, procedures, and the department as a whole

Qualifications: |

Bachelors degree in related field from an accredited college or university -
3 years experience in a progressive generalist role -
Experience with HRIS and ADP required -
PHR Certification preferred -
Expert knowledge of personnel processing procedures and applicable rules, regulations and laws -
Excellent technical and software skills -
The ability to effectively use Microsoft Office and ADP products -
Excellent communication and organizational skills -
Superior problem solving skills -
Ability to work effectively both with and without supervision - Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company
