[YEP-DC] Academic Coordinator - Academic Support Center, University of the DIstrict of Columbia

Friends and colleagues,

I will be leaving my present position at the University of the District of Columbia in May, in pursuit of other opportunities. While my departure is bittersweet, I am excited to assist with the candidate recruitment process, as I know there are many dedicated education professionals out there who would excel in this position.

We are looking for a candidate with a B.A. in Education or a related field, AND at least 4 years of experiences in a higher education retention programming, OR with a related graduate degree in Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, etc. The ideal candidate is a highly organized self-starter, with experience in all or most of the following areas: (1) planning, administering, and evaluating supplemental educational support programs like academic workshops, tutorials, and retention projects and initiatives; (2) recruiting, training, and supervising undergraduate and graduate tutors; (3) tracking grant budgets and processing student payroll; and (4) making student-centric policy recommendations as they impact student academic progress and retention.

The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with campus and community stakeholders, and have exceptional communication and messaging skills. A commitment to furthering the mission of a public, land-grant institution with an HBCU legacy is a must. To view the full job description and to apply, please visit: http://udc.applicantstack.com/x/detail/a2hbyxhgm54q.

While I am available to discuss the position in general, applications must be submitted through the university's recruitment website.

Should you know of a candidate who may be an excellent fit, please do not hesitate to forward this e-mail.

Many thanks!
