Job Description: Children's Education Program Coordinator
Enova, an innovative company dedicated to closing the digital divide and the educational gap in Mexico, seeks to hire a K-12 Education Specialist to assist in developing and coordinating an extra-curricular educational program that will promote the development of communication, math, ITC and science competencies in underpriviledged children in the state of Mexico. Courses are offered by teachers at 70+ community education centers throughout the state via the Learning and Innovation Network (Red de Innovacion y Aprendizaje - http://www.ria.org.mx/). They are delivered in a blended mode that takes advantage of face-to-face human interaction as well as well as the educational potential of technology.
The Children´s Education Program Coordinator will work closely with Senior Management at Enova, the Teacher Development Leader, the content development team, and the network of teachers to plan and supervise the implementation of the children´s courses and monitor results.
Responsibilities
· Design a curriculum for the extra-curricular children´s (K-9) educational program to consolidate reading, math, ITC and science competencies.
· Plan the courses or modules of the program and coordinate the design and production of educational resources.
· Organize the implementation of the program, including scheduling criteria, teacher recruitment and training, and content-specific pedagogical support.
· Monitor and analyze educational quality indicators and assess results.
· Prepare reports and related documents assessing program impact.
· Design strategies for educational quality improvement.
· Plan and conduct research related with children´s education that can enrich the program.
· Participate in institutional educational planning.
· Coordinate special educational projects for children to be implemented at RIA Centers.
· Perform other tasks related with the children´s education program.
Skills and requirements:
· Children's education specialist with knowledge of instructional technology, curriculum design, teacher training, and learning assessment.
· Graduate degree in curriculum and instruction, instructional technology, reading and literacy, math or science or other fields related with children's education preferred.
· Experience in teaching underpriviledged children, curriculum design and development of high quality instructional materials, educational use of technology, b-learning or e-learning, teacher training and supervision.
· Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting
· Proficiency in Spanish required and familiarization with Mexican context highly preferred.
