[YEP-DC] Volunteers Needed for Reading Partners One-Day Service Project

As Reading Partners approaches the end of its program year we want to make sure that we give our students all of the support they need before the program ends on May 25th.  Our program provides literacy tutoring for students in 1st-5th grade that are reading below grade level. Some of our students need to make up missed sessions or they may need extra support because they started the program later in the year.

We would like to invite you and/or your colleagues to participate in one-day community service projects by volunteering to tutor sessions at our reading centers. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with elementary students, using a structured curriculum, to help them build their reading skills.  Groups are welcome.

There is no experience necessary, we will provide on-site support and give a brief orientation when students arrive. Please see the available dates and times below and have contact twoolfolk@readingpartners.org or (202) 701-9110 if interested in participating.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with Reading Partners and help a student increase their reading skills.
