Volunteer at our 4th Annual Business Plan Competition!
What is BUILD?
BUILD is a four-year entrepreneurship-focused college preparation program whose mission is to use entrepreneurship to excite and propel disengaged, low-income students through high school to college success. By helping students develop and run their own small businesses, BUILD supplements traditional school with real-world business experiences and critical skill-building for the future.
What is the BUILD Business Plan Competition?
This is an opportunity for our youth business teams from our three school partners to compete against each other at The George Washington School of Business. Students present their business plans using accompanying power points to judges from the local business community.
Why We Need Volunteers?
We need volunteers to ensure this is a successful event for our students. We are a small staff and we need to devote as much time to our students on May 12th as possible. Volunteers help us set up breakfast and lunch and clean up after the event. We could not run this event without the generous help and support of volunteers!
Times
Shift 1: 8:00 am – 12pm
Shift 2: 11:30 am – 4 pm
Please email Levi Rivers at lrivers@build.org if you are interested in volunteering! Please specify what shift works with your schedule.
