The Reading Connection (TRC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk children and families by helping them create and sustain literacy-rich environments and motivation for reading. The Program Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring that TRC's programs run efficiently and effectively. This position will support programs through materials and meeting management, and by assuring database integrity for the all programs.
Working under the direction of the director of program operations, the program assistant's specific responsibilities will include the following:
Position Responsibilities
· Coordinate the monthly Book Club Program by managing enrollment and the client database and processing monthly orders and reports.
· Manage the team of office volunteers who provide programmatic support.
· Support the program team with meeting management, including maintaining the program calendar and scheduling meetings with partner agencies.
· Prepare and organize materials for program events.
· Maintain up-to-date program data for all programs and produce reports to share data and trends with team members on a regular basis.
· Provide general program support.
· Other duties as assigned.
Details
· Expected start date: October 1, 2015. 25 hours per week, $16,000 to 18,000 annual salary.
· TRC is located in Arlington, VA, and is Metro-accessible.
