Program Assistant
The Program Assistant provides support to all aspects of the Eureka Math program at Great Minds, a rapidly growing non-profit that helps school districts across America meet their curriculum and training needs. The person who holds this position will provide scheduling, logistical, research, writing, editing, and communication support to the Director of Eureka Math, Program Managers, other internal staff, and contractor/consultant staff.
Working under the direction of the Program Manager of Professional Development - Eureka Math, the Program Assistant's specific responsibilities may include:
Executive Assistant Functions and General Office Responsibilities
- Executive Assistant to Program Manager of Professional Development - Eureka Math, providing support in scheduling, research, writing, and editing duties.
- Providing administrative and logistical support for Great Minds sponsored events, including scheduling, coordination with partners or clients, preparation of materials, and occasional on-site support and travel arrangements.
Customer Service Response Coordination
- Routing customer inquiries on specific content-related items to appropriate members of the program team for response, ensuring that all items are resolved and documented.
Program Support
- Assisting Program Managers in communicating with consultants and other contracted staff about programmatic needs, logistics, and initiatives.
- Copyediting and polishing the work of staff and consultants developing curriculum and professional development tools for print and online publication and professional submissions (grant proposals, etc).
- Writing original material, including memoranda, e-mails, research reports, reports to funders, etc.
- Organizing shared documents in a structure that is intuitive, and assisting internal staff and consultants in finding needed documents.
- Maintaining awareness of the most up-to-date style guides and templates to be applied to documents and ensuring that out-going documents are using the current versions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Proficient skills in using Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and Constant Contact
- Excellent writing skills to be applied to both original work and copy-editing tasks
- Intellectual curiosity, a quick study, and high attention to details
- Willingness to learn company-specific procedures and product information as provided
- Ability to thrive in deadline-driven environment
- Self-motivation with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Professional yet friendly personality with ability to maintain sense of humor under pressure
- Competence with technology and willingness to become an expert in specific programs
- Experience in education or professional development is desired
Details
- Full-time, Exempt
- Excellent benefits package
- New offices in the up and coming Navy Yard/Nationals Stadium area of Washington DC
- $30-35K based on experience
