THE ORGANIZATION: | Leading Educators partners with schools and districts to maximize the leadership development of highly effective teachers. Our goal is to identify, train, and support teacher leaders and, in turn, increase student achievement and develop the skills and sustainability of teachers on our teacher leaders' teams. Leading Educators offers formal training sessions designed to be immediately applicable by teacher leaders. Expert faculty model new skills, facilitate targeted practice, and drive action planning for implementation. Leading Educators also provides customized teacher leadership development consulting for districts, charter management organizations, schools, state-level agencies, and non-profit organizations. Consulting is customized based on partner needs, context, and goals. |

THE POSITION: | The Director of Human Capital is responsible for managing the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of talent within the organization. H/she will also be responsible for managing the organization's culture building and human resource functions including benefits and payroll administration, performance management, compensation, compliance, and ongoing personnel matters. Essential Functions
Knowledge and Skills The Director of Human Capital will have strategic insight and proven, in-depth experience in strengthening and establishing talent management processes. She or he will have experience creating and implementing practices suited to Leading Educators' mission and character as a small, high functioning nonprofit organization. The Director of Human Capital will serve as a spokesperson for people and culture, and as a contributor and advisor to senior leadership. She or he will be an excellent manager with strong business acumen and a sound technical background in human resources, as well as experience leading a small department.

LOCATION: | Flexible location with preference to New Orleans (headquarters), Washington DC, Kansas City, or Chicago. |
