Achievement Prep is looking for exceptional candidates for its newly established Principal and Director of Curriculum and Instruction (DCI) roles at the Mississippi Avenue Elementary Campus and flagship Wahler Place Middle Campus.
Recognizing the key role that transformational Principals play in ensuring scholar success, the organization is restructuring its campus leadership teams to place experienced school leaders at the center of teaching & learning and campus culture. As a member of the campus leadership team, the DCI plays a critical role in all aspects of teaching & learning and works closely with both network-based and campus leaders to provide consistent, effective school oversight.
Achievement Prep is an award-winning network of high-performing college preparatory elementary and middle schools located east of the Anacostia River in Ward 8 of Washington, DC. Founded in 2008 with the singular focus of closing the achievement gap in a community where poverty and poor academic achievement has been a generational norm, Achievement Prep is poised to make a lasting impact. Its students are consistently among the top performing scholars in the District, often outperforming their peers in more affluent neighborhoods. Over the next three years, Achievement Prep will expand from two campuses to five in order to bring its results-driven model to even more Ward 8 families.
