[dcab-l] Note from Katy Daley

WAMU's Bluegrass Country is very much in need of your support this week. New management has said raise $50k during this fundraiser -- or else.

Randy

From Katy:

Heard a story from Alan Munde recently which parallels our current situation at WAMU's Bluegrass Country:

A rancher saw a cloud of dust coming up the road toward him and was able to make out a rabbit with a hungry fox on his tail.  The rancher called out to the rabbit, "Are you gonna make it?"   As the rabbit raced past he shouted back at the rancher, "GOT TO!!"

And so it is with your friends at WAMU's Bluegrass Country.  Today is the kick-off for our Winter fundraising campaign and our goal is to raise $50,000.  This is a critical fundraiser for us (yeah, yeah, aren't they all?).   It's time to prove that Bluegrass Country can be self-sustaining.

We have been entertaining and educating people with bluegrass since 1967.  I feel certain we have played a part in your life somewhere along the way.  Take a moment to think what we mean to you.  Then,  please support us with a donation at bluegrasscountry.org

If you've already joined or renewed your membership, thank you.

I appreciate the support you've shown throughout the years,
