[YEP-DC] Job Posting: 2015-6 Teaching Opportunities at AppleTree Early Learning Public Charter School


Applications are now being accepted for the 2015-2016 School Year for AppleTree Early Learning Public Charter School

About the School AppleTree's mission is to close the achievement gap before children get to kindergarten by providing three- and four-year-olds with the social, emotional, and cognitive foundations that enable them to succeed in school.

The AppleTree Early Learning PCS is an independent public charter preschool open to all three- and four- year olds in the District of Columbia. The charter preschool currently serves 640 children at seven campuses across all four quadrants of the District of Columbia, and serves as a laboratory school through its close relationship with AppleTree Institute.  AppleTree's growth has been fueled by demand for its engaging, full-day program.  It is a rigorous instructional preschool that prepares young children socially, emotionally and cognitively for kindergarten and future school success.  AppleTree uses purposeful learning through play and guided instruction to create a safe, structured preschool experience for three and four-year-old children. Teachers provide differentiated instruction, based on data, to provide advancement to children where they most need it.


Together, AppleTree's early childhood programs impact the lives of more than 1,200 children each year.

AppleTree Teaching Fellow (Bachelor's Degree, all majors accepted)
Preschool/PreK Lead Teacher (1-3 years of full-time experience especially in Early Childhood)
