About Charter Board Partners
The mission of Charter Board Partners (CBP) is to promote and support strong public charter school governance in ways that drive improved student achievement. We recruit and train talented people to serve as effective public charter school board members, match them to boards that need their expertise, and provide powerful programs, resources, and services to support public charter school boards in strengthening their governance.

Position Overview
The Executive Assistant is a key member of the CBP team. He/she will provide executive support to the two founders of Charter Board Partners as well as administrative support to CBP's national leadership team. The Executive Assistant will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the President and CEO. In addition, he/she will provide operational and administrative support to the Directors of Finance and Operations, Development, and Program.
The person in this position will need to be prepared to excel in a dynamic non-profit organization that is mission-driven, results-oriented, and fast-paced. The ideal candidate will be detailed-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. In addition, he/she will have the ability to work independently on projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
This role has two primary responsibilities: (1) Executive support for the President and CEO involving the scheduling of their extremely active calendar of appointments, arranging their travel plans, and composing various correspondences. (2) Administrative support to the CBP Leadership team for the Directors of Finance and Operations, Development, and Program. Some of the duties related to these two primary responsibilities are listed below:
- Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the both the President and CEO including managing their calendars of appointments; composing and preparing correspondence, arranging travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and providing background materials to prepare them for meetings.
- Plays both a "gatekeeper" and "gateway" role, creating win-win situations for direct access to the President and CEO's time and office and ensuring that their schedules reflect their priorities and goals.
- Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the President and CEO and internal staff members.
- Works closely and effectively with the President and CEO to keep them both well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
- Handles correspondence as needed, including email, phone, social media, and other avenues.
- Supports the Directors of Finance, Development and Programs with administrative needs, data collection and data entry.
- Manages the inventory and ordering of office supplies as well as occasional in-office catering orders

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point); preferred proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Social Media web platforms; experience with SalesForce a plus.
