Specific Duties Responsibilities
The Evaluation Assistant will contribute in the following ways:
1. Attend 2 hours of in-person training to gain familiarity with assessment protocols (September 17th 6pm - 8pm). Be available for a 30-minute refresher session via Skype or in-person the following week.
2. Ensure all tutors and students at the assigned school are assessed within a 2-week window.
3. Record the results of the assessments in the manner described during training. Ensure results are given to Program Associate for Evaluation & Improvement by the specified dates.
4. Respect tutor and student confidentiality by protecting all collected data.
5. Complete all required documentation on time.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
To be considered for the position of Evaluation Assistant, the applicant must:
1. Complete the DCPS Volunteer screening and background check;
2.Demonstrate strong administrative and organizational skills;
3. Exhibit a level of comfort interacting with adolescent tutors and elementary school students.
Time Required
The Evaluation Assistant must commit to working 5 hours a week during the following windows:
- October 1st – October 30th
- January 21st – February 19th
- May 6th – May 27th
Activity Locations
All training will occur at Reach's office or via Skype. Each Evaluation Assistant will
be assigned to one of our five program sites. All locations are listed below:
