[YEP-DC] KIPP seeks to hire a dynamic Training Manager!

#TeachTheBabies

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is with great excitement that I share an opportunity for a dynamic, skilled candidate to join the KIPP Through College (KTC) team as Training Manager at the KIPP Foundation. Knowing how important it is to get the right person on board, I am asking my personal and professional network to take a moment to look over the job description and think about who you know that could be a great fit for the role.

Over the past several years, the KIPP Foundation has built a robust community of practice among the 180+ KTC staff members across the network, consisting of Managing Directors, High School Placement Coordinators, College Counselors, and Alumni Advisors. As we support the national KTC network, which has grown to more than 31 programs across the country at varying levels of development and maturity, we seek to provide high-impact trainings and professional development to ensure staff members across the network have the skills and competencies needed to support ambitious College Match & Persistence goals for KIPPsters.

In addition to crafting guidance for the KIPP network on effectively implementing Match & Persistence within their programs, the Training Manager will coordinate all of the national professional development services provided to the KTC community, working closely with other members of the national KTC team to ensure alignment of messaging and content. Specifically, the scope of work will fall into four main categories:

  1. Develop and deliver a differentiated scope and sequence of professional development to the KTC community
  2. Create and/or support the launch and training of tools, templates, and resources in support of College Match & Persistence
  3. Promote and manage sharing of knowledge and best practices across the KTC community
  4. Provide the KTC community with access to memberships and benefits of national organizations

A great candidate for the Training Manager position will ideally have some background in adult training, facilitation, or teaching, as well as some experience working in college access or higher education. This person will report to Jami Bailey, Director of Program Development, on my team.  Please see the full description attached
