THIS Friday (March 28th) the Juniors from Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools for Public Policy will participate in Professionalism Day at the Thurgood Marshall Center. Professionalism Day is the FINAL check-point for our 11th graders before they embark on the interview process for their Fellowship!! Fellowship is a 3-week internship experience in which students work full-time at a non-profit or government agency gaining hands-on experience in public policy and service fields. We need YOU to help us ensure they're ready for this incredible experience!!
Here are the details about the event and how YOU can help us prepare our Juniors for success:
WHO: Chavez Schools Juniors and Community Volunteers like YOU!!
WHAT: Professionalism Day
WHEN: THIS Friday (March 28th) 8:30am-12:30pm
WHERE: Thurgood Marshall Center (1816 12th St, NW- near U Street Metro)
WHY: To prepare Chavez 11th graders for Fellowship
HOW: Volunteers will be assigned to a group to either review student resumes, help them practice interviewing, or discuss the value of networking. Volunteers will work with 3 different groups of students throughout the morning.
Please feel free to reach out with questions!! We need 50-60 volunteers for this event and currently only have 22 confirmed registrations!! Any and all help is welcome!! You can register to participate online or email me directly (stephanie.remick@chavezschools.org).
